Happy Halloween

What a fun first Halloween we had... We went to visit with Pam and mom took Callie Grace to see Cito, ( her other grandmother.. Cito, is arabic for grandmother ) :) I had a bad headache so had to rest during that visit, but I luckily got to feeling some better. Callie Grace and I stayed home and passed out candy to all the trick or treaters... I loved all the kids and seeing their costumes, so sweet!

MTSU pics

For some reason I couldn't place these pics on the last post...

Trip to Mississippi and MT vs MS state game

Well we had an unexpected trip to Mississippi for my grandfather's funeral, but while there we got to get in a quick visit with MaMa and Aunt Cynthia, so that part was nice. I am just still so amazed at how fast Callie Grace is growing up. She is about to be 8 months old !! She is still not crawling yet, but she is so close! once she starts going, I have a feeling we are never going to be able to catch her! Another great visit was this past weekend when Aunt Amy, Uncle Darren, and Isaac came to visit and go to the MTSU vs. Mississippi State game. The weather was miserable, but we had a great time. I think Isaac was much more interested in Callie Grace this visit because she could actually interact and try to play with him. They were so cute together.

Bath Fun and check out her 6 month pics!!

I am so excited to say that Callie Grace's 6 month proofs are now in, and they turned out so cute!! Heather Latimer is such a talented photographer, I have known her for years and watched her career grow, so proud of her! You can go and look at her proofs by going to her web site : http://www.frogsandfaeriesphotography.com/, you will then click on "visit web site" on the left and then click on "client galleries", in the bottom right corner you will see a place to enter a password, which is "cgp", then you will see all of the proofs... Let me know which are your favorites to help me decide... THANKS!! Callie Grace has a great time getting her first bath in the sink, She has been taking a bath in the big bath tub but her bath ring broke and so far I cant find another one, not sure why... so we used the kitchen sink and she had the best time making the biggest mess splashing wather EVERYWHERE! she was covered in baby food already so she had a great time!!

Go Raiders Go!!!

Callie Grace attended her first MTSU tailgating. If you know my family, they are dedicated Blue Raider fans who attend every game and spend almost the entire day tailgating. Thankfully at this game they didn't show up with blue hair, or blue beards, or some of their special outfits.. :) Callie Grace wore her dress that Pam had given her at my baby shower and showed off her Raider pride. This will definately be a regular part of her life, so a good thing we are breaking her in early. We had a great time getting to see everyone...

This is one of my favorite pictures, i love her smile and that you can see her two teeth she has now... so sweet..

Callie Grace meets Callie Marie

Callie Grace woke up early on Sunday morning so I decided to not wake the rest of the house up and take her outside for a quick photo shoot before it got too hot... I love how they turned out in her overalls.. too cute..

We spent this weekend in Mississippi visiting family. Callie Grace got to meet my great Aunt Callie that she is named after. I had not seen her in so long and the visit meant so much to us all. Gina, her daughter was there as well. Callie Grace was having a rough day of teething, I so wish she had been in a better mood, but we still had a nice time.

Growing up so fast...

You always here people talk about how fast kids grow up, and in my line of work I have definately seen and felt this, considering that some of my students have now graduated college, and some have come back to work as my staff. Its just crazy how fast time flies, but now that I have my own child, I can say its going by even faster. Each everyday she changes and matures in so many ways. These pics I took this weekend were just on the spur of the moment after she has just woken up, but she just looked older, wiser... from even just the day before... but with every passing day I think I am more and more in love with her...

Picking Tomatoes and Enjoying our Swing

Callie Grace and I had a great weekend last weekend when MaMa Hope came and stayed with us. PaPa Murf was visiting Joe and Courtney and delivering books, so MaMa Hope stayed with us. We had lots of fun yard saling as normal on a Saturday morning. We then went shopping for Callie Grace a swing to hang in the yard. Its the perfect thing for her since her two favorite things are her swing inside, and the fact that she LOVES being outside and looking at trees. Mom found her this pink one, which she thought was perfect ofcourse. Callie loved it as you can tell. I also decided to let her pick her first tomatoes off my plants. They are cherry tomatoes so just the right size for her. I then let her taste the juice of the tomato, it was cute. Ma Ma Hope is wanting her to be a gardener already.

5 Months Old...

I am so sorry its been so long since I have updated the blog... summers are always so crazy at work, i feel like i lost touch with everything... so let me see what I need to update everyone on... Callie Grace is now 5 months old! I cannot believe how fast time has flown by... Her major milestones now are rolling over, trying to sit up ( she is just too long, poor thing, such a long spine to try and balance, haha) She is eating baby food for breakfast and dinner and LOVES it. Her first tooth is still fighting its way through along with another one, so that has not at all been fun!! Otherwise, she is such a happy baby, she smiles constantly! MaMa Hope put her a swing up in the yard and she thinks that is the most fun! she just laughs and giggles... I will put up some more recent pictures below... love you all

3 months old,Mother's Day, and Great Grandparents visit

I know the title of this posting covers so many things... its been awhile since I have written, so lots to update everyone on... Callie Grace is now 3 months old, which amazes me !! Time has flown by!! I am still amazed at how much she changes each and everyday.

My first Mother's Day was also very special, we spent the weekend in Mississippi visiting family. It was nice to share that day with all the special mothers in my life, my mom, my aunt cynthia, and my grandmother. They could not believe how much Callie Grace had grown and loved how much she interacts with you now. I feel so blessed to be a mother and hope that I can take things that I have learned from each of these amazing women and help Callie Grace to grown into a wonderful woman like them.

This picture was taken the week after Mother's Day by Dad, I love it.. feel it truly captures Motherhood...

Callie Grace was so excited to finally get to meet her
great grandfather and great grandmother, Grannie spoiled her rotten with all the holding and loving she got and Grandaddy developed a magic method to rocking her to sleep, it was really cute... They are both so full of life and energetic, I hope I am that same way in my 80's. Grannie said she had never met a baby as happy as Callie Grace is all the time, I am very blessed by her amazing temperment. While I was outside today she began to fuss because she was hungry, and they let her cry simply because Grannie said she had never heard her fuss at all.. haha.. that really is the only time she gets mad and once you feed her all is right with the world again
